Redi-Earth

Redi-Earth is a blend of equal parts of Canadian sphagnum peat moss and vermiculite, plus a balanced mixture of nutrients and wetting agent. The mix will hold 2-3 times its weight in water while retaining excellent aeration properties.

Metro-Mix 220 Growing Medium

This medium was developed in response to modern growers demands for an economical, medium weight, easy to use growing-on soilless mix. It features the addition of coarser horticultural perlite to the Redi-Earth formula. Perlite enhances percolation and aeration.

Metro-Mix 290 Growing Medium

This medium was developed in response to grower demand for an economical, coarse, lightweight soilless mix. It features a blend of coarse sphagnum peat moss, vermiculite, and horticultural perlite. The result is a coarse medium with excellent structure. It provides optimum aeration, percolation and leaching characteristics. It is outstanding for bedding plants, pot crops and hanging baskets.

Horticultural Perlite

Terra-Lite Horticultural Perlite is a white, light-weight volcanic rock particle which has been expanded at a temperature of approximately 1600 °F (871 °C) to about thirteen times its original volume. Each particle of perlite is comprised of tiny closed air cells or bubbles. The surface of each particle is covered with tiny cavities which provide an extremely large surface area. These surface cavities trap moisture and make it available to plant roots. In addition, because of the physical shape of each particle of perlite, air passages are formed in the growing media thereby providing excellent aeration.

Horticultural Vermiculite

Terra-Lite Vermiculite is a golden brown lightweight mica-like mineral which has been expanded at temperatures of approximately 1400 °F (760 °C) to about fifteen times its original volume. The sterile absorbent particles are capable of holding large amount of plant available air, water and nutrients. Terra-Lite Vermiculite has a negative charge which provides excellent cation exchange capacity (C.E.C.) to hold positively charged ions and releasing vital elements to the plant roots as required. Terra-Lite Vermiculite is offered in fine and medium grades for horticultural applications.
